Good morning Year 5 - I hope you've had a lovely weekend. This week we are going to be continuing with our descriptive writing work in English. In maths, we are going to carry on with our work on decimals.
Good morning Year 5 and welcome back!
I hope you have all had a lovely Easter weekend and have been enjoying the sunshine. I've been reading lots but mostly to my fifteen month old girls, so I've read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Find the Duck and Be Gentle! quite a few times! I hope you've managed to keep yourself busy and have been helpful at home - I can't wait to see who has learnt to 'moonwalk' or juggle.
This term we are carrying on with our conservation topic for a couple more weeks before we start our new topic (I'll let you know what it is nearer the time but here is a clue - αρχαία Ελλάδα)
In maths we will be continuing with fractions before we move on to decimals and in English we will be doing a short unit of work before you complete a piece of descriptive writing.
Good morning Year 5 and well done for getting to the end of your first week of home learning. I hope you have learnt something new or revised something you may have forgotten.
Although I won’t be setting any work during the Easter holiday, you can still work on TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed. You can also be helpful at home and you could even try to learn a new skill - why not learn to juggle or even moonwalk?
Morning Year 5 - I hope you are managing to get out in your gardens and enjoy the sunshine, as well as completing your home learning. In the wider curriculum section, I have put an activity which will hopefully help you to get some exercise for your body as well as your brain. I'm sure you are all doing brilliantly and are supporting your parents and carers by helping around the house.
Morning Year Five - I hope you've all had a good weekend.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to be with you from Tuesday last week but I was pleased to hear from Mrs Hilling that you were all fantastic (as was she for covering in my absence). I have put up some work on the website for today but will probably take a while getting used to this new way of working - I'm sure you'll pick it up pretty quickly though.
During this time away from school, try to be as helpful and considerate as you can to those around you, and use it as an opportunity to try things that you might not normally have the time to do.
All the best,
