OFSTED - April 23

The school's latest OFSTED inspection took place on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th of March 2023.

"The curriculum is designed well so that pupils build knowledge and skills progressively from Reception to Year 6. Teachers check what pupils know and can do when they begin Reception. Leaders have ensured teachers have the skills and knowledge they need to meet pupils’ needs. " Ofsted - April 2023

Pupil Premium Grant

What is Pupil Premium Funding?

The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers. This provision is reviewed termly throughout the year and updated annually, every September.

The Service Premium is also included in the Pupil Premium Grant and gives schools extra funding to support children and young people with parents in the armed forces. This provision is also reviewed termly throughout the year and updated annually, every September.

Primary PE and Sports Premium - Sports Funding

What is school sports funding?

School Sports Funding is a government initiative that aims to fund improvements in PE and school sports as part of the 2012 Olympic Games legacy. In April 2013 it was announced that £450 million would be made available to primary schools to improve the provision of physical education (PE). In summer 2017 it was announced that this funding would double for the foreseeable future. This funding is ring fenced and can therefore only be spent on provision of PE and sport.

Schools (in conjunction with the Governing Body) decide how best to spend Sports Funding in order to benefit their pupils, to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport so all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.
