Year 4 Bushcraft assembly

The children from Year 4 presented a 'Bushcraft' assembly to their families based on their experiences at camp. They outlined how to take care of the basic human needs for survival in the wild. Some pupils explained a selection of their new- found skills such as how to safely whittle sticks which could then be used as a toasting fork. There was an energetic demonstration of the techniques required to paddle a canoe when part of a 6- person crew. The audience heard personal accounts from the children on various challenges that they overcame and their fondest memories of their time away in Dittisham. It was brilliant to see so many family members who took the time to attend and we would like to thank them for supporting this event. Finally, well done to Year 4 for an entertaining assembly and watch out Bear Grylls!

School will be open again on Friday 3rd November 2023
